My passion for collecting anything vintage started in art school. My meager student budget made thrift shops my Macy's. That's where I fell in love with acquiring one-of-a-kind vintage clothing with unique fabric, buttons and embroidery. My interest in salvaged and found objects came later when I moved to Texas. I'd find myself examining a rusted horseshoe or a weathered door hinge and wondering what was its history before being abandoned?

And now, as a Floridian and avid beachcomber, I've discoverd that collecting the natural gifts that Mother Nature deposits along her coastline is baked into my DNA. Sun-bleached driftwood and barnacle-encrusted shells are prominently featured in my assemblage art. I love giving these objects a new artistic identity in my eco-friendly designs by combining them with recycled items such as vintage fabrics and trims, one-of-a-kind buttons and beads, pieces of jewelry, rusted hardware and many other discarded tchotchkes. My artwork is rich in both texture and balance...and truly one-of-a-kind. I am genuinely in my happy place when I can breathe new life into forgotten objects through my art.
