Nancy McFarland

Nancy is an East Coast assemblage artist focused on sustainability in her creative process. As a lifelong beachcomber and mindful thrift shopper, she combines these two passions by transforming found and discarded objects into intricate, vibrant…and oftentimes whimsical pieces of art. She blends weathered driftwood, shells, and crab claws with various recycled tchotchkes such as vintage fabric, glass beads, broken jewelry pieces, handmade paper, and rusted hardware. Her art is an exploration of texture and color, spotlighting the beauty and potential of reimagined materials. Nancy's pieces offer a unique alternative to traditional art - one with less waste and fewer consequences in order to have a kinder footprint on the earth...and a cool piece of artwork on the wall.
